PANJIRI RECIPE: For New & Expecting Mothers

Ingredients:


250 gm Dry Dates/Chuara
100 gm Almonds/Badam
100 gm Cashew/Kaju
1 medium size Coconut (chopped)
200 gm Posta/Poppy Seeds
450 gm Sugar/Jaggery
200 gm Desi Ghee
3-4 Glass of Water


Method:

1.Soak all the dry fruits overnight seperately.
2.Seperate seeds from the dry dates/chuara.
3.Grind dry dates make a smooth paste,add water if needed.
4.Take out paste in a bowl.
5.Similarly grind coconut,almonds & cashews.
6.Take out in same bowl.
7.Drain out posta water and make a smooth paste, & take out in same bowl.
8.Turn on the flame and place a kadhai.
9.Add deshi ghee to the kadhai, let it heat.
10.Now add perpred mixture to kadhai and mix well all the ingredients.
11.Turn the flame low and let the mixture roast well.
12.It takes 30 minutes on low flame to roast well.
13.When mixture turn golden in colour, add sugar/jaggery.
14.Add water and turn flame high.
15.Boil on high flame for 5 minutes & let the sugar melt completely.
16.After 5 minutes reduce the flame and boil for another 10 minutes and turn the flame off.
17. PANJIRI/Chuani is ready to serve.Serve hot.
