Bharwa Karela | Stuffed Bitter Gourd Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 Kg Karela (Scratch the surface & well washed)Water
Salt To Taste
2 tsp Turmeric Powder/Haldi
1 tsp Sugar
4 tsp Dry Mango Powder/Amchur Powder
2 tbsp Mustard Oil
6 Medium Size Onion(Coarsely Chopped)
2 tbsp Dry Coriander Seeds(Sabut Dhaniya )
1 tsp Fennel Seeds(Sauf)
Method:
1.Scratch the upper surface of karela and make a cut in center, take out seeds and wash well.2.Take a mixing jar add chopped onion,sugar,Dry Coriander Seeds & Fennel Seeds to it.
3.Make a fine paste of it.
4.Take out paste in a bowl and add Turmeric Powder/Haldi,Dry Mango Powder/Amchur Powder.
5.Mix well all the ingredients, masala filling is ready.
6.Now fill this prepared masala inside karela's.
7.Take a kadhai and heat mustard oil in it.
8.When oil is hot enough add all stuffed karela's.
9.Reduce the flame to low and all left over masala too.
10.Add 1/2 cup water to it and cover it with a plate/lid.
11.Cook on low flame for 15-20 minutes.
12.After 20 minutes check karela's and stir well.
13.They are ready to serve with roti or paratha's.
