Masala Lauki Dhaba Style/Ghia 



Ingredients:

1 kg Bottlegourd/Lauki/ghia
1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tbsp Mustard Oil
1.5 tsp Turmeric Powder/Haldi Powder
2 tsp Dry Coriander Powder/Dhaniya Powder
1 Onion(Medium)finely chopped
Salt to Taste
Water

Method:

1.Peel Bottlegourd, wash it & cut into small pieces.
2.Turn on the flame & put a pressure cooker on it.
3.Add 1 tbsp mustard oil into it.
4.When oil is hot enough add chopped onion,cook until turns translucent.
5.Turn the flame low add turmeric powder,coriander powder,red chilli powder & stir well.
6.Make sure masala's are not burned you can sprinkle lettel amount of water if temperature is high.
7.Add chopped bottle gourd and salt to taste, mix well.
8.Sprinkle little amount of water and cover the lid.
9.Turn the flame high and cook for 1 whistle.
10.After one whistle turn the flame low & cook on low flame for another 5-10 minutes.
11.After 10 minutes turn flame off,open the lid when pressure released completely.
12.Check bottlegourd is cooked completely or not, if not you can cook for another 1 whistle.
13.If its cooked then again turn on the flame & mash bottle gourd slightly and cook for 5 minutes without lid.
14.Then turn off the flame & Serve hot with rice, roti or paratha's.
